| BIG-ASSED FAMOUS IN THE NEW YORK TIMES by Jeff Somers Well, some of that infamous Somers writing appeared in the Sunday New York Times' Jersey section on June 27, 2004. Neil Genzlinger of the Times invited me to contribute about 100 words to a funny article he wanted to put together about summer beach reading on the Jersey Shore, along with three or four other writers who were willing to work for exposure instead of cash. I got the cleanup spot, meaning I got four 'chapters' worth of our faux beach novel and had to come up with a plot and resolution in about 100 words. I am a genius, of course, so this did not present a problem. I forgot to ask *when* the piece would run, and no one warned me that it would be the 27th, so I couldn't warn anyone to watch out for it. So sad! Oh well. I've got a scan of the piece here for y'all to ooh and aah over. I wrote Chapter 5. Enjoy!
Thanks to Adam Wade (Chapter 2) for use of his scans.
